Stanwell Stansted Airport Hotel - Takeley

The location offered easy access to Stansted Airport, a major plus for catching my early flight. The bed in the Beautiful Double Room felt comfortable. Warmth also radiated throughout the room, contributing to a cozy atmosphere. I faced a couple of inconveniences. The bathroom's heater was scalding and couldn't be adjusted, posing a burn risk. The shower curtain needed a good scrubbing, and I found the Velux window faulty and unable to shut fully, letting in cold air. The room showed signs of needing maintenance, including a lack of hand wash and functioning blinds. Online communication for check-in wasn't prompt. Improvements in upkeep and responsiveness would enhance the stay significantly.

Caring staff and the location was quiet. Furthermore, it was close to a bus station.

The food was outstanding with variety of choice! Booked Wheelchair Accessible room with coffee as well as the bedroom, which I really appreciated.

The Beautiful Double Room provided a cozy atmosphere, easy to rest before my travels. The cleanliness could be improved, as I found some dirt under the bed. There was an issue with the shower not providing hot water. It's a decent choice for a brief stay but requires attention to details.

Here I spent 1 night and enjoyed being in this place. I took an en suite room with large windows, comfy bed plus TV. The location of the hotel was remote, just off bus stop and the airport.

Ideal hotel in a peaceful area really close to transport for a reasonable price, the airport, and the Airport terminal. A huge variety of outstanding food at breakfast time. En suite and cheap rooms with a fridge. Pleasant stuff and quick to respond. Marvellous and brilliant location, short way from everywhere.

Affordable price for basic accommodations. Proximity to the airport makes it convenient for quick layovers.

Difficult to find due to wrong postcode leading to a different location. No towels provided, leading to a hassle upon arrival. Apparent maintenance issues, a TV precariously hanging on the wall and light bulbs in the bathroom hanging out with exposed wires.

the vibrant Hatfield Forest Nature Reserve, just a short walk of less than 3 km away, offered me fine scenery and a super calm place, and I also appreciated the quick bus connections to local landmarks around Takeley, making my outing hassle-free.

The owner was super friendly and really helpful. Check-in and check-out were easy. The room was functional and did everything we needed for our short stay before the airport run.

The experience started off rocky with a poorly cleaned room upon arrival, and the night was anything but restful with the lack of air conditioning and a faulty power supply that left us without lights or hot water in the morning. A light issue at the entrance kept the whole room illuminated at night, and no key on the door added an unsettling touch to the stay.
